‘A Caring Christian Family Where We Grow Together’

Welcome to Rural Church Schools Academy Trust

The purpose of our Trust is to inspire all the children across our schools through care, collaboration and creativity within a Christian community. We believe coming to work in our schools should be a joy, where staff find real job satisfaction and make a genuine difference.

Our vision for education is rooted in deep collaboration that enables our unique Church of England schools to provide a rich, creative  and connected learning experience for children to enjoy and remember.  This is all carried out within a caring Christian community. Each school in our Trust is unique. They serve unique communities and retain their individual identity. We have common procedures and policies to ensure a consistency of practice which we consult widely on as we care and value what our staff and leaders believe is right for their schools . The school’s connected curriculum has been devised by the senior leadership team, teachers and pupils and is constructed to reflect the location and needs of the communities they serve. We acknowledge and celebrate the role everyone has in our communities and promote tolerance, understanding and engagement, in order to learn and be inclusive to all.

We care deeply about out team. The health and mental wellbeing of our staff and pupils is a carefully considered aspect of our decision making at all levels. As a trust we ensure that our teaching staff feel supported, listened to and understood so that they in turn can support our pupils. We appreciate that being alone in any position is hard so we know being together as a team is simply better. As a trust we have developed CORE teams and FACULTY teams which support our curriculum development as well as the opportunity to work with professionals in the same year group. Our staff support each other, work together and learn together. As a trust we look after our staff who in turn look after our pupils.

Our goal is for every pupil in our Trust to be taught by an expert teacher, with strong pedagogical knowledge and understanding of how children learn.  All teachers within our trust have high academic standards for teaching and learning alongside the qualities of nuturing, encouraging, caring and developing our young people to be live long learners ready for the future.

Fundamentally we believe that being part of a family of schools as RCSAT has afforded our staff opportunities across a wide spectrum of areas that has a real world positive impact on the learning experiences children receive. We are actively looking for leaders, governors and schools to learn from and work with so we can continue to develop and grow as a Trust. If you are interested in finding out more, we would welcome the chance to share and talk together.
